Will cyclists have to be at my house when I'm not there?Probably yes. Most cyclists leave home early in the morning to train before competing. If you go to work early, he will probably return home after training when you are not there. In addition, due to the schedules and location of the CRITÉRIUM CANCUN, he will most likely arrive home after 10:00 p.m. on the day of the competition.
-
Will I have to feed them? No. The hosts usually invite cyclists to eat, but it is not mandatory. They will probably need to use the kitchen (they will clean up after themselves). They may also need the use of the refrigerator and preparation space. Some may ask permission to use your washer and dryer.
-
Do I have to provide transportation? No, in some cases the hosts support cyclists with transportation to the event, the supermarket, or somewhere they need to go, but it is not mandatory.
-
Will my house be used as a hotel? No. The reality is that cyclists are athletes who understand the value of help and support, and of course they would like to be invited to return in the future. They know how to be good guests at home.
-
Of course, they are good people. Do they have any other reason to behave well? You can bet yes. These are all cyclists and teams require a lot of support to be able to compete. They are very aware that they represent their cities and in some cases their sponsors and teams for the entire time they are in the city, not just when they compete. They want their family, colleagues, friends, sponsors and teams to hear good things about them. Nobody supports those who leave a bad image
-
Will it be awkward with cyclists when I define the boundaries of what I'm willing to do as a host? No. It is your house, you set the conditions and the limits. Express your limits to us and we will transmit them to the cyclists. They tend to be very flexible and courteous guests.
-
How will I know if I have been accepted as a host?We will contact you via email or WhatsApp, once you have submitted the Host Accommodation Request on this website. Of course, you will be notified, when rider and host assignments have been made by email and/or WhatsApp. Your guests (the riders) will also contact you shortly after the assignments have been distributed
